Bull Shoals Government and Services
Bull Shoals has a mayor/council form of government
with 6 council members elected from wards. Three city police officers
serve the town assisted by six volunteer reserve officers. The fire
department consists of a fire chief / emergency medical technician,
an additional EMT, and 20 volunteer firefighters. The town's fire
rating is a Class 5.
Utilities
Bull Shoals' water system pumps on average 170,000
gallons/day from Bull Shoals Lake and has storage of 500,000 gallons.
Monthly residential water rates are $14.64 for the first 2,000 gallons
used, plus $4.50 for every additional 1,000. Monthly residential
sewer rates are $13.50 for the first 2,000 gallons plus $2.42 for
any additional part of 1,000 gallons. The city's wastewater treatment
plant has a rated capacity of 500,000 gallons a day.

Trash pickup service is provided
to customers by the company which receives the bid for city
trash pickup, and the city operates a recycling project. Both
programs together cost $11.50 per month.

Electric
Entergy Corporation serves
the Bull Shoals area with electric transmission voltages of 161,000
and city primary voltages of 13,800. Available voltages are 110,

City business fees
Each business pays a flat $15 annual business
license fee. Contact Bull Shoals City Hall - 870-445-4775. Separate
city fees are payable to the city for building, electrical, plumbing,
signs and mechanical inspections.
